APPEALS BOARD
NNE 25, 2002
The regular meeting of the Rosemead Building Rehabilitation Appeals Board was called to order by
Chairman Bruesch at 7:00 p.m. in the Conference Room of City Hall, 8838 E. Valley Boulevard,
Rosemead, California.
The Pledge to the Flag and Invocation were waived as having been completed during the meeting
just adjourned.
ROLL CALL OF OFFICERS:

APPROVAL OF MINUTES: MAY 28, 2002 — REGULAR MEETING
MOTION BY BOARDMEMBER IMPERIAL, SECOND BY BOARDMEMBER CLARK that
the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 28, 2002 be approved as submitted. Vote resulted:

The Chairman declared said motion duly carried and so ordered.
I. ADMINISTRATION OF OATH
The Board Secretary administered the oath to all persons wishing to address the Board.
II. HEARINGS
A. 3163 -71 BARTLETT AVENUE
The subject property consists of three single - family dwellings located in the R -1 zone. One unit is
owner- occupied. The other two are tenant - occupied. The case was initiated in November, 2001 and no
compliance has been achieved in over seven months.
MOTION BY BOARDMEMBER IMPERIAL, SECOND BY BOARDMEMBER CLARK that
the Board find the property substandard and order all substandard conditions be removed and/or corrected
by August 1, 2002. However, if the required permits are obtained, and sufficient progress is achieved by
August 1, 2002, the abatement date may be extended to September 3, 2002. Vote resulted:

The subject property consists of a tenant - occupied duplex located in the R -2 zone. The case was
initiated in September, 2001 and no compliance has been achieved in over nine months.
MOTION BY BOARDMEMBER TAYLOR, SECOND BY BOARDMEMBER IMPERIAL that
the Board find the property substandard and order all substandard conditions be removed and/or corrected
by August 1, 2002. However, if the required permits are obtained and sufficient progress is achieved by
August 1, 2002, the abatement date may be extended to September 3, 2002. Vote resulted:

No action was required on the aforementioned items.
IV. MATTERS FROM OFFICIALS
Boardmember Taylor requested an update on the property at Walnut Grove and Valley.
V. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further action to be taken at this time, the meeting was adjourned at 7:16 p.m. The
next regular meeting is scheduled for July 23, 2002, at 7:00 p.m.
