All units are tenant-occupied. The case was initiated on September, 2001, and no compliance has been achieved in over eight months. Case chronology as follows: • September 13, 2001 - Please letter mailed to property owner. • October 24, 2001 - Inspection. No progress. • October 31, 2001 - Property declared substandard by Building Official and a Declaration of Substandard Property filed with Los Angeles County Recorder's office. 30 day certified letter mailed and posted. • November 26, 2001 - "Rehab" permit obtained by property owner. • December 20, 2001 - Inspection. No progress. • January 23, 2002 - Inspection. No progress • January 29, 2002 - Inspection. Minor progress. Revised list of defects complied and faxed to property manager. REHAB AGENDA MAY 2 8 2002 ITEM No. 77-. • March 19, 2002 - Inspection. Additional progress made at 9106. No access gained to other units. No progress on exterior violations. • April 7, 2002 - Inspection attempted. No interior access. No progress on exterior. • May 2, 2002 - Inspection attempted. No interior access. No progress on exterior. A Notice of Hearing was mailed and posted on the property on May 7, 2002. All interested parties have been notified. CITY BUILDING OFFICIAL'S RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the Board find the property substandard and order all substandard conditions be removed and/or corrected by July 1, 2002.
