This property was previously under the City's Property Rehabilitation program in 1997 (same owner). A new case was initiated in June, 2001, and no compliance has been achieved in seven months. Case chronology as follows: • June 20, 2001 - Please letter mailed to owner. • July 2, 2001 - Inspection performed. Revised list of defects compiled after access was gained to rear yard. • August 2, 2001 - Inspection. No progress. • August 9, 2001 - Property declared substandard by Building Official and a Declaration of Substandard Property filed with Los Angeles County Recorder's office. 15 day certified letter mailed and posted. • August 13, 2001 - Property owner obtained "Rehab" permit to make repairs and correct defects. • October 10, 2001 - Bulky item trash notice sent to owner and tenants. A Notice of Hearing was mailed and posted on the property on January 9, 2002. All interested parties have been notified. CITY BUILDING OFFICIAL'S.RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the Board find the property substandard and order all substandard conditions be removed and/or corrected by March 4, 2002.
