Ordinance No. 614 - Construction of Multiple Dwellings0 0 ORDINANCE NO. 614 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD REPEALING ORDINANCE NO.612 WHICH IMPOSED A MORATORIUM ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF MULTIPLE DWELLINGS IN THE R-2 ZONE AND ESTABLISHING STANDARDS FOR PROJECTS IN THE PROCESS OF RECEIVING CITY APPROVAL. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council finds, determines and declares: (a) That on August 11, 1987, the city Council enacted a moratorium on the construction of multiple dwellings in the R-2 zone pending study and the adoption of new regulations; and (b) That on August 25, 1987, the City Council re-introduced Ordinance No. 609, AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD ADOPTING R-2 ZONE REGULATIONS; and (c) That • adopted Ordinance October 9, 1987. on September 8, 1987, the City Council No. 609, which will become effective (d) That on September 22, 1987, the City Council extended the moratorium; and Section 2. The City Council finds that the moratorium will no longer be necessary upon the effective date of Ordinance No. 609. Section 3. Ordinance No. 612, imposing and extending a temporary moratorium on multiple dwellings in the R-2 zone is hereby repealed effective October 13, 1987, at which time Ordinance No. 609 imposing new regulations for the development of multiple dwellings in the R-2 zone will be effective. Section 4. Notwithstanding any regulation to the contrary, any project which has a valid building and safety department plan check receipt, or has received Planning Commission approval as of August 25, 1987, may continue to develop to the density standards in effect immediately prior to the adoption of Ordinance No. 609, provided that all such projects shall complete the review process, be issued a valid building and safety permit, and commence construction within one hundred twenty (120) days from the adoption of this ordinance. Commencing on the one hundred twenty first (121st) day, all transitional rules contained in this section shall expire and Ordinance No. 609 shall be in full force and effect. Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be processed according to law. PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 13th day of October, 1987. MAYOR ATTEST:
