V 1. RESOLUTION NO. 01-13 - CLAIMS AND DEMANDS
Recommendation: Approve Resolution No. 01-13, for payment of
Agency expenditures.
Y 2.P1 RESOLUTION NO. 01-14 - A RESOLUTION OF THE
ROSEME-AD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY DETERMINING THAT A
STATE OF EMERGENCY EXISTS REGARDING THE
CONTINUOUS, RELIABLE OPERATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS IN
AND ADJACENT TO PROJECT AREAS NO. 1 AND NO. 2
Due to the threat of rolling power outages, the Agency will consider
determining that a state of emergency exists regarding the continuous,
reliable operation of traffic signals in and adjacent to Project Areas No.
and No. 2, and authorizing the Executive Director to contract for the
procurement of material and installation of uninterruptible power supply
systems for traffic signals.
Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 01-14 and appropriate the

necessaryfunds.
3.1p RESOLUTION NO. 01-15 -A RESOLUTION OF THE
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS AND
DETERMINATIONS WITH RESPECT TO REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY PAYMENT FOR UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY
SYSTEMS FOR TRAFFIC SIGNALS
By adopting this resolution, the Agency finds that Agency payment for the
project benefits Project Area No. 1, there are no other reasonable means of
financing, and that the project will eliminate blighting conditions by
providing a continuous, reliable operation of traffic signals on roadways
within and adjacent to Project Areas No. 1 and No. 2, thus enhancing the
value of abutting properties.
Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 01-15.
4. DEVELOPMENT PROPOSAL FOR A MC DONALD'S
RESTAURANT WITH INDOOR PLAYPLACE TO BE LOCATED AT
8548 EAST VALLEY BOULEVARD
This item was presented at the February 13°i and May 8°' , 2001 Rosemead
Redevelopment Agency Meetings. The Agency continued this item at the
last meetings to allow the developers an opportunity to re-design the
project and address parking and traffic circulation concerns of the Agency.
Recommendation: That the Agency find this development proposal is
not in conformance with the Redevelopment Plan for Project Area 2, and
recommend design modifications to include land uses more compatible
with this corner property.
