Every 4 years our 13 cities must hold an election for a board member and the runner up is the alternate. The vote is weighted by cities' population. The period when cities nominate by resolution at their council meeting closes on Oct. 22nd and then the cities vote again by resolution after Nov. 4th. I would really appreciate having your nomination and subsequent vote. We have made great progress in cleaning up the groundwater basin, which is all the more important since regulatory cutbacks on water from northern California have occurred. Our projects have already removed more than 38 tons of contaminants, but the work isn't over. If you have any questions, please let me know.
