MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING
OF THE ROSEMEAD CITY COUNCIL
APRIL 23, 1979 AT 8:30 P..M.

The adjourned Meeting of the Rosemead City Council was
called to order by Mayor Taylor at 8:30 p. m., in the Confer-
ence Room of City Hall, 8838 E. Valley Blvd., Rosemead, Cali-
fornia.
Frank G. Tripepi, City Manager, stated that this is the
Public Hearing that is required by law for the use of Revenue
Sharing Funds and the amount being received is $628,898.00,
and he recommended that all monies received under the General
Revenue Sharing Entitlement II be utilized for the law enforce-
ment contract.
Mayor Taylor stated that the Public Hearing for Use of
Revenue Sharing Funds was open and inquired if there was any-
one who would care to speak.
Mr:; Howard O'Neil, 2613 N. Walnut Grove Avenue, requested
some of the Revenue Sharing funds be allocated to the senior
citizens for their activities and for transportation.
Councilman Cichy stated that one of the items that he had
brought up for discussion at the Budget Study Session was trans-
portation and. in particular for senior citizens. He stated that
it was his intention to make the recommendation for transporta
tion;:bn a_jfixedtroute_for theiuseof senior citizens.
Councilman Cichy requested a report on the monies which
were allocated to the senior citizen groups two years ago; how
much was_ allocated and what was done with the money.
MOTION BY COUNCILMAN HUNTER, SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN CICHY
that the recommendation that all monies received under the
Revenue Sharing Entitlement II be utilized for the Law Enforce-
ment Contract be approved. Vote resulted:
UPON ROLL CALL ALL COUNCILMEMBERS PRESENT VOTED AYE.
The Mayor declared said motion duly-,carried and so ordered.
There being no further business, the Public Hearing was
closed and the Meeting was adjourned to the next regular Meet-
ing on May 8, 1979 at 8:00 p, m.
