MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING
OF THE ROSEMEAD CITY COUNCIL ON
AUGUST 25, 1978,9:00 O'CLOCK A.M.
The adjourned Meeting of the Rosemead City Council was
called to order by Mayor Pro Tem Cichy in the Council Chambers
of the City Hall, 8838 E. Valley Blvd., Rosemead, California.
The Pledge to the Flag was led by Councilman Imperial.
The Invocation was delivered by Councilman Imperial.
ROLL CALL OF OFFICERS:
Present: Councilmen Imperial, Tury and Mayor Pro Tem Cichy
Absent: . Councilman Hunter and Mayor Taylor
Mayor Pro Tem Cichy welcomed the distinguished visitors from
Zapopan'to the City of Rosemead. He introduced the Councilmembers
and the Staff to the guests and extended the City's hospitality to
them.
Mayor Pro Tem Cichy presented a Resolution to the President
of Zapopan; and pictures were taken of the presentation.
Mr. Abel Salgado Velasco, President of Zapopan, expressed
his appreciation to those present, and then, he introduced the
delegates, members of his staff and friends that had made the
trip to Rosemead. As a token of their appreciation he presented
a statue of Benito Juarez to the City of Rosemead.
Mayor Pro Tem Cichy expressed the appreciation of the City
for the beautiful statue,. and suggested that the group tour the
City Hall before they leave for their other destinations which
were planned for them.
The City Council Meeting was adjourned-to the next regular
Meeting of September 12, 1978 at 8:00 p. m.
