Trash Service PetitionPetition g Protect My Trash Services Petition Dear Councilmembers: I am a resident within the city of Rosemead and wanted to take this opportunity to express my preference to see Consolidated Services remain the city's provider of waste hauling services. I have been quite satisfied with the level of service Consolidated has provided me and would not want to jeopardize it by switching to a new, less- experience waste hauler. The Council's upcoming decision will have a long- lasting effect on Rosemead. It's one of the largest service contracts for our community. I am concerned that a new waste hauler will not be fully ready to meet the level of service that I expect. A new waste hauler will not have the first -hand experience of the unique needs of the Rosemead residents and may not completely understand what we expect. As such, if the city awards the exclusive contract to a new hauler, they may request extraordinary rate increases as they become more familiar with our needs. Our current provider is uniquely qualified in that they have a tested record of meeting the citys needs at reasonable rates.
