SUMMARY
The people of the County of Los Angeles on November 3, 1992, and on November 5, 1996,
enacted Los Angeles County Proposition A, Safe Neighborhood Parks, Gang Prevention, Tree -
Planting, Senior and Youth Recreation, Beaches and Wildlife Protection provides funds to public
agencies and nonprofit organizations in the County for the purposes of acquiring and /or
developing facilities and open space for public recreation. One of the requirements of the
application is a resolution authorizing submission of an application and designating an agent to
act on behalf of the City in matters related to the grant should funding be awarded.
As the City Council is aware, the Rosemead Community Recreation Center is part of the Civic
Center project with renovations and expansion of the center included in the current Capital

conversion of multi - purpose space into a computer lab, HVAC and.lighting improvements, fire
