An Adjourned Regular Meeting of the Rosemead City Council was called to order in
the Rosemead Community Center, 3936 N. Muscatel Ave., Rosemead, California by
Mayor Cichy at 8:00.P.M.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Cichy, Hunter, Imperial, Taylor, Trujillo
Absent; None
Ex officio; Burbank, Fleischman, Sullivan, Dickey, Tripepi, Young
Mayor Cichy stated the purpose of this meeting is to hold a Public Hearing to
accept public input on use of Revenue Sharing Funds estimated at $364,000 for
fiscal year 1976-77.
Rules for speaking as printed on the Agenda were read as follows:
1) You will be requested to deliver your thoughts or requests to the Council
in 5 minutes...
2) If you represent a Group Request... That Group will be limited to 3 persons...
5 minutes each... (Please decide among you who will make the presentation)
3) Please submit a request to speak form to the City Clerk
The following persons spoke regarding the JUVENILE DIVERSION PROJECT with a request
for $59,750.00: (NYP(U2 Program) Y

The following spoke with regard to ROSEMEAD LITTLE LEAGUE with a request for
$1,000. (All-Star Uniforms) 1) Mr. David Delgado, 8231 Slakes
The following spoke with regard to OPERATION YOUTH EDUCATIONAL SERVICES with a
request for $33,358 (RAP-WAY..Rosenead at Progress - With All Youth)
1) Juan Jiminez, 3337 1/2 N. Del Mar Ave., Rosemead
2) Robert Diaz, Rosemead & David Nando (appeared together)
3) Ramona Diaz, 7406 E. Berne St., Rosemead
The following spoke with regard to SENIOR CITIZEN NEEDS with requests for
$7,000 for a mini-bus program and $1,500 for Social Activities

3) Lynne Farrell, 3420 LaFayette, Rosemead (mini-bus)

The following spoke with regard to BRIDGE PEER COUNSELING CENTER with a request
for $22,600. (Crisis Intervention "Halfway House" for Runaways)

$72,298.00 (continuation of program for one year)

requesting funds for continued operation of the Boys' Club)

COUNSELOR requesting $11,381.00 (Family Social Services Counselor)

Approximately 60 persons in the audience stood to be recognized in favor of
this request.
Councilman Taylor made reference to the written DINSMOOR HERITAGE HOUSE request
for $15,000..Research & Development - $9,000 Building Improvements, and
$45,000 for Property Acquisition. (Total $69,000}
City Manager Tripepi referenced the written CITY STAFF REQUESTS and Councilman Taylor
summarized them.
