not listed on the agenda during the Public Comments from the Audience period. Opportunity to address the Traffic Commission (on non-agenda items) is limited to 3 minutes per speaker.
The Traffic Commission will hear public comments on items listed on the agenda during discussion of the matter and prior to a vote. Brown Act: Pursuant to provisions of the Brown Act,
no action may be taken on a matter unless it is listed on the agenda, or unless certain emergency or special circumstances exist. The Traffic Commission may direct staff to investigate
and/or schedule certain matters for consideration at a future Traffic Commission meeting. Americans with Disabilities Act: In compliance with the ADA, if you need special assistance
to participate in this meeting, please contact the City Clerk’s office at least 48 hours prior to the meeting to allow the City to make reasonable arrangements to ensure accessibility

A. July 12, 2012 Minutes B. Request to install red curb painting at the corner of Dubonnet Avenue and Marshall Street 3. NEW BUSINESS A. BICYCLE TRANSPORTATION PLAN – EDUCATION/OUTREACH
EFFORTS Summary The Traffic Commission and City Council recently approved the City’s Bicycle Transportation Plan and proposed improvement projects related to bicycle safety. The goals
of the bicycle plan focus on improving bicycle connections and accessibility with neighboring communities/trails and increased bicycle safety. A key element of this plan was to develop
bicycle safety education components and possible outreach elements to the community. Funding has also been included in the City’s operating budget towards this effort using monies that
must be used for transportation, bicycle and pedestrian improvements. Commission input is requested on possible outreach efforts, events, and promotional items to pursue. Staff Recommendation
It is recommended that the Traffic Commission provide input on bicycle educational and outreach efforts, as identified in the City’s Bicycle Transportation Plan. B. REVIEW OF ANNUAL
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES Summary The City uses a strategic planning process to help develop a long-term vision, key organizational goals, strategies and action plan to pursue. This process
is a coordinated effort with input from the public, City commissions, committees and operating departments. In conjunction with this plan, the Traffic Commission develops a list of traffic
and safety-related priorities that tie in with the Citywide Strategic Plan. Each year, the Commission reviews and updates this list to review progress and identify new priorities that
have been identified. Staff Recommendation It is recommended that the Traffic Commission review and discuss the goals and objectives and provide further direction to staff.
