CC - 05-15-73 - Adjourned Meeting• CITY OF ROSEMEAD ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA CITY COUNCIL MAY 15, 1973 • An Adjourned Regular Meeting of the Rosemead City Council was held in the Conference Room of City Hall, 8838 East Valley Boulevard and called to order by Mayor Pike at 7:30 a.m. ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmen: Andersen, Hunter, Maude, Pike, Taylor _Absent: Councilmen: None Ex officio: Davenport, Gunn, Levy, Tripepi Mayor Pike stated the purpose of this meeting was to consider the'proposed budget for 1973-74. City Manager Gunn presented a report dated May 14, 1973 Re: Clarification of 1973-74 Budget Fund Balance - General Fund. This report indicated that the General Fund Balance (shown on the statement of fund balances) does not include loans which will possibly be repaid by the Redevelopment Agency; and that there will be an increase in the estimated Revenue Sharing funds. City Council - Account 1000 No objections as proposed. City Administration - Account 1100 No objections as proposed. City Clerk --Account 1200 Account 1271 increased to $1,000. and 1251 narrative changed to strike the Contract Cities Seminar 6 Municipal Business Tax Association and add the City Clerk's Annual Meeting. Balance approved as proposed. Finance Department - Account 1300 No objections as proposed. City Treasurer - Account 1400 No objections as proposed. City Attorney - Account 1500 No objections as proposed. It was requested that the total fees paid the City Attorney be summarized on this account page. Planning Department No objections as proposed. Position of Planning Assistant to be given consideration at a later date. Contract Cities Seminar added and Planning Director Seminar deleted. Personnel Department Account 1700 No objections as proposed. General Government Buildings - Account 1800 No objections as proposed. Community Promotion - Account 2000 Account 2076 increased to $4,500. Narrative to read July as the date City to Host Contract Cities. Balance approved as proposed. Elections - Account 2100 No objections as proposed. • Page Two • • C/C Minutes May 15, 1973 Non-Departmental - Account 2300 Account 2313 increased to $7,200 for accuracy. It was requested, account, this account reflect the Law Enforcement - Account 3000 and account 2379 that as with the total fees paid to be checked City Attorney the Accountant. No objections as proposed. Discussion followed regarding a new study of costs of a City Police Department vs. County Sheriff's Department. Building Regulations - Account 3200 No objections Public Works Department - Account 4000 No objections as proposed. Sewer Maintenance - Account 4400 No objections as proposed, indicating Council's wish that there be no tax rate set for Sewer Maintenance in the City. Construction-Streets 6 Highways - Account 5000 Project 86 (Del Mar) increased to $50,000. Add Rush St. project with indication that it could be assigned to the Redevelopment Agency. Balance approved as proposed. Traffic Signals - Account 5300 No objections as proposed. Street Repair - Account 6000 Account 6014 increased to $10,000. Balance approved as proposed.
