CITY COUNCIL
MARCH 29, 1973
An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Rosemead was held in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 8838
East Valley Boulevard and called to order by Mayor Hunter at 7:00 a.m.
Mayor Hunter explained that the purpose of this meeting was to
continue the agenda and unfinished business of March 27, 1973•

Present: Councilmen: Andersen, Hunter, Maude, Pike, Taylor
Absent: Councilmen: None
Ex officio: Davenport, Foutz, Gunn, Miller, Tripepi.

ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE: Those addressing the Council
were:
A. Mr. Loren Rightmeier, 8724 Valley Blvd., Rosemead: Re:
Redevelopment and the private enterprise system.
Point of Order was called by Councilman Maude with regard to
the 10 minute time limit per person. The Mayor upheld this point
of order.
B. Mr. James Ryan, 3618 Earle, Rosemead. Re: Upgrading of Marshall
and Rapid Transit.
C. Mr. Jim Maulsbury, representing Modern Service Company:
He informed the Council that the claim of Mr. Jinkenson,
who appeared before the Council on March 27, 1973 has been
paid.
Mr. Maulsbury asked that, with regard to property owned by
Mary Maloof, Modern Service Company be on record opposing
this being billed as one property and asked Council guidance.
Councilman Maude, with concurrence of the other members of the Council
stated that in the future he would like written statements from
parties in dispute so facts are not left to the memory of statements
made at previous meetings.
MATTERS FROM CITY OFFICIALS:
A. Councilman Maude suggested that in the future, a form be
included with the Agenda,to be filled out and presented to
the Clerk by those wishing,to address the Council.
B. Councilman Pike asked that study be given to adoption of a
set of rules (similar to those of the Board of Supervisors)
for conduct at our Council meetings.
There being no further business to come before the Council, It was
moved by Councilman Andersen, second by Councilman Maude and unanimously
carried that the meeting be adjourned.
