CALL TO ORDER: The regular meeting of the City of Rosemead Planning Commission was called to order
by Chairman Loi at 7:00 p.m. in the council chambers of the Rosemead. City Hall at 8838 East Valley
Boulevard, Rosemead
Vice - Chairman Herrera led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Commissioner Ortiz delivered the invocation.

City of Rosemead Regular Planning Commission Meetings of September 16, 2002, be

2. EXPLANATION OF HEARING PROCEDURES AND APPEAL RIGHTS
Deputy City Attorney Stan Price explained the public hearing process and the right to appeal
Planning Commission decisions to the City Council.

This is the time for the public to address the Planning Commission on any matter not presented on the

MATTERS FROM CITY OFFICIALS AND STAFF
A. As requested by Chairman Loi at the preceding September 16 meeting, Associate Planner
Wilkinson alerted the commissioners to an agenda packet memo disclosing the fire damage
status of the Quanjude Beijing Duck Restaurant located at 8450 East Garvey Avenue.
B. Commissioner Alarcon asked to be updated concerning the proposed McDonald's Restaurant
that is intended for the Walnut Grove Avenue and Valley Boulevard locality; Associate
Planner Wilkinson responded that the lease line and architectural plans are still in
deliberation.

There being no other business to come before the commission, the meeting was wjourned at 720 p.M
