CITY OF ROSEMEAD
PLANNING COMMISSION
MINUTES OF AUGUST 2, 1966
A regular meeting of the Planning Commission was called
to order by Chairman Taylor at 7:31 P.M. in the Council
Chambers of the City Hall, 3018 North Charlotte Avenue.
1. CALL TO ORDER
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Charles Morse.
The Invocation was given by Commissioner Buchanan.

3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
JULY 19, 1966
(MO) It was moved by Commissioner Holmes, second by Commissioner
Buchanan, that the Minutes of July 19, 1966 be approved
as written; if need be corrected in accord with the tape;
unanimous approval.

Mr. Hersh presented the factual data.
The Move -In Committee, Commissioners Holmes and Buchanan,
made their report and recommended approval.
D.K. Griffith, 1120 Candace Lane, La Habra, the applicant
gave the Commission further information.
(MO) It was moved by Commissioner Holmes, second by Commissioner
Pike, that Plot Plan Number 265 Revised, be approved subject
to the following conditions:
1. The width of the drive -way be made 12 feet.
2. The turn - around area be extended northerly six feet.
3. Both the dwellings and the garages to be restuccoed and
repainted.

4. All construction work on the dwellings, both present
and future, be up to the Building Code.
5. All other Commission Standards and Requirements that apply.

A RESOLUTION OF.THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
ROSEMEAD GRANTING ZONE VARIANCE CASE NUMBER 39.
City Attorney Brown read the Resolution No. 66 -8, granting
a Zone Variance to the Narramore Christian Foundation,
in full.
(MO) It was moved by Commissioner Holmes, second by Commissioner
Kunz, that Resolution Number 66 -8 be adopted.

9. STREET VACATIONS A AND B
A. STUB STREET NORTH OF RALPH STREET, WEST OF MUSCATEL
Mr. Hersh presented the factual data.
Discussion by the Commission.
(MO) It was moved by Commissioner Kunz, second by Commissioner
Buchanan, that the Planning Commission recommend to the
City Council that the street vacation of the stub street
north of Ralph Street to the west of Muscatel Avenue,
be denied.
(RC) ROLL CALL VOTE on the motion as follows:

B. AUTO AUCTION ALLEY ACCESSWAY
Mr. Hersh presented the factual data.
General discussion by the Commission.
(MO) it was moved by Commissioner Kunz, second by Commissioner
Buchanan, to defer the matter, and to request the applicant,
Mr. Harold Henry, submit a title report on the ownership.

and City Streets.
Chairman Taylor declared a short recess at 8:55 P.M.
Chairman Taylor declared the meeting resumed at 9:00 P.M.
16. CURB AND GUTTER STUDY REPORT
Mr. Hersh presented the Report for the Commission's study.

ADJOURNMENT
It was moved by Commissioner Holmes, second by Commissioner Kunz,
to adjourn the meeting to August 16, 1966; unanimous approval.
