MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 6, 1968
A regular meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order
by the Chairman, Commissioner Taylor at 7:38 P.M., in the City
Council Chambers, 3018 North Charlotte, Rosemead.
1. CALL TO ORDER
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Commissioner Holmes
Commissioner Pike delivered the invocation.
2. ROLL CALL
Present: Commissioners: Holmes, Larson, Pike, O'Hagan and Taylor

3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - January 15, 1968
January 16, 1968
It was moved by Commissioner Larson, seconded by Commissioner
Holmes, and unanimously carried, that the minutes of January
15, 1968 be approved as written.
Commissioner Larson pointed out that on Page Eight of the
January 16, 1968 minutes, Item No. 13 should read "The meeting
to be held at the Santa Fe Inn on February 1968."

It was moved:' by Commissioner Larson, seconded by Commissioner
Holmes, and unanimously carried, that the minutes of January
16, 1968 be approved as corrected.
4. TIME RESERVED FOR PERSONS IN THE AUDIENCE WHO WISH TO ADDRESS
THE COMMISSION.
None

PUBLIC HEARING,
5. SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE - Joint Study Session with City Council
and Consultant Larry Wise arranged for Monday, February 12,
1968 at 7:30 P.M.
It was moved by Commissioner Pike, seconded by Commissioner
Holmes, and unanimously carried that the public hearing of the
Subdivision Ordinance be continued to February 12, 1968.

7. PLOT PLAN NO. 331 - Revised - Minor Division of Land - Union
Oil Company - Southeast corner Lower Azusa Road and Encinita.

Planning Director Hersh presented the factual data.
Mr. Harold McClard was present to answer any questions from
the Commission
Discussion of the case included the proposed market on the site,
access across both parcels, restrictions on access to be
noted on the Parcel Map and in the new land titles, the need
to know more about the proposed market, the need to comply
with Design Overlay regulations, and guarantee the development
will proceed as stated.
(MO) It was moved by Commissioner Holmes, seconded by Commissioner
Pike that the applicant for Plot Plan No. 331 be allowed to
withdraw the case without prejudice and resubmit plans in
more detail at a later date.

Chairman Taylor reconvened the meeting at 8 :42 P.M.

Chairman Taylor adiourned the meeting to February 12, 1968
at 7:30 P.M.
The Planning Commission conducted a study session after the adjourn-
ment of the regular meeting. The Commission discussed possible
motel regulations..
