RESOLUTION NO. 69 -15
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF ROSEMEAD RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY, _
ANNEXATION.NO. 35, BE CHANGED FROM A -1 TO P -D,
FROM R -1 TO R -1, AND FROM C -2 TO C -3, AND RECOM-
MENDING APPROVAL OF THE PRECISE PLANS OF THE DON
BOSCO TECHNICAL SCHOOL, THE ST. JOSEPH SALESIAN
JUNIORATE, AND THE MONTEREY SANITARIUM.
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Planning Commission does hereby find and
determine that the Planning Commission initiated a zone change in
accord with annexation procedure, with respect to real property
described as follows:
All of that property in the County of Los Angeles,
State of California, bounded and described as
follows: Beginning at an angle point in the
westerly boundary of the City of Rosemead, as
said boundary existed on January 14, 1968, said
angle point be.ing the most westerly corner of
Tract No. 8646, as per map filed in Book 179,
page 21 of Maps in the office of the County Re-
corder of said County; thence southwesterly along
the southwesterly prolongation of the north-
westerly line of said Tract No. 8646 to the
southwesterly line of the northeasterly 20 feet
of Lot 57 of Tract No. 701 as per map filed in
Book 16, pages 110 and 111 of said Maps; thence
northwesterly along said southwesterly line and
continuing northwesterly along the southwesterly
line of the northeasterly 20 feet of Lot 58 of
said Tract No. 701 and its northwesterly prolonga-
tion to the most easterly corner of Lot 3 of
Tract No. 7685 as per map filed in Book 130, page
14 of said Maps; thence northwesterly, westerly
and southwesterly along the boundary of said last
mentioned lot to the most westerly corner of
said last mentioned lot; thence southwesterly in
a direct line to the most westerly corner of Lot
14 of said Tract No. 701; thence southeasterly
along the southwesterly line of said last mentioned
lot to the northwesterly line of said Lot 58;
thence southwesterly along said last mentioned north-
westerly line to the boundary of the City of Monte-
bello, as said last mentioned boundary existed on
said date; thence southeasterly and easterly along
said last mentioned boundary to said boundary of
the City of Rosemead; thence northeasterly and
northwesterly along said last mentioned boundary
to the point of beginning.
the proposed change of zone being from A -1 (Light Agricultural) to P, -D
(Planned Development),from R -1 (County Single Family Residential) to
R -1 (Rosemead Single Family Residential), and from C -2 (Neighborhood
Business) to C -3 (Medium Commercial); that a public hearing was duly
set for Tuesday, July 15, 1969 at 7 :30 P.M. at the City Hall, 8838
Valley Boulevard, Rosemead, California and a notice of the time, place,
date and purpose of aforesaid hearing was duly given; that a hearing
was duly held at the aforementioned time and place.

Section 2. The Planning Commission further finds and
determines t amt facts do exist as required by Section 9125 and 9126
et seq. of the Ordinances of the City of Rosemead justifying a
granting of the change of zone, and that the general welfare will be
served and good zoning practices will be followed if the requested
zone change is approved.
Section 3. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption
of this reso uut o and shall transmit copies of same to the applicant
and the Rosemead City Clerk.
