A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF ROSEMEAD GRANTING A ZONE VARIANCE:.
CASE NUMBER 58
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Planning Commission does hereby find
and determi a tFat an application was duly filed by Mr. Frank 'Owen,
with respect to real property described as follows:
That portion of Lot 2, Richard Garvey's Addition No. 2 to the
Tract Known as the Garvey Ranch, M. R. 70- 69/71, According to records
of Los Anggeles County, described as follows: Beginning at a point
on the E'ly line of.San Gabriel Boulevard, a distance of 7.08 feet
northerly of the south line of said Lot 2; thence northerly along
E'ly line of San Gabriel Blvd. a distance of 120 feet; thence N.
89 47' E. to the SW'ly line of the Los Angeles County Flood Control
District Right -of -Way; thence SE'ly along the SW'ly line of said
Flood Control District-Right-of-Way to a point which intersects with
a line which if 7.08 ft. northerly of an parallel wo the S'ly line
of said Lot 2; thence S. 89 47' E. to the point of beginning;
otherwise known as 2604 to 2614 San Gabriel Boulevard, Rosemead,
California;
requesting a Zone Variance, on property in the M -1 (Light Manufacturing
and Industrial) Zone to permit;
establishment and maintenance of less then required parking for an
existing industrial structure;
that a public hearing was duly set for February 4, 1969 February 18,
1969 and March 4, 1969 at 7:30 P.M. at the City Hall, 8638 Valley
Boulevard, Rosemead, California, and a notice of the time, date,
place and purpose of aforesaid hearing was duly given; that a hearing
was duly held at the aforementioned times and place.
Section 2. The Planning Commission further finds and deter-
mines that a cts exist as required by Section 9124 and 9126 et seq.
of the Ordinances of the City of Rosemead justifying a granting of
the Zone Variance.
Section 3. The Planning Commission further finds:
1. That a self - inflicted hardship does exist;
2. That the use is in accord with the adopted General
Plan of the City of Rosemead;
3. That the development would not detrimentally affect
the general health, welfare and safety of the sur-
rounding area.
Section 4. Based on the aforementioned findings the
Commission ere y grants a variance with respect to that property
described in Section 1 of this resolution, subject to the conditions
attached hereto.

Section 5. This action shall become final and effective
after ten 0 days after this decision of the Planning Commission
unless within such time a written appeal is filed by the City Clerk,
for consideration by the Rosemead City Council as provided in the
Zoning Ordinance.
Section 6. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption
of this reso lution and shall transmit copies of same to the appli-
cant and the Rosemead City Clerk.
