RESOLUTION NO. 68 -14
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF ROSEMEAD DENYING A CONDITIONAL USE
PERMIT: CASE NUMBER 25.
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Planning Commission does hereby find
and determine' tin application was duly filed by Foster and
Kleiser, with respect to real property described as follows:
Lots 48 and 49, Tract No. 5785, as shown on maps recorded in
Map Book 63, page 90 in the Office of the Recorder of the County
of Los Angeles; otherwise described as 7444 East Garvey Avenue;
requesting a Conditional Use Permit, on property in the C -3 (Medium
Commercial) Zone to permit:
construction and maintenance of a single faced outdoor advertising
structure having a sign face measuring 12 feet by 25 feet, a height
from ground to base of 23 feet, to be located parallel to the west
property line with setback ofthree and one -half feet from the south
line of Garvey Avenue;
that a public hearing was duly set for Tuesday, October 1, 1968
at 7:30 P.M. at the City Hall, 8838 Valley Boulevard, Rosemead,
California and a notice of the time, date; place and purpose of the
aforementioned time and place.
Section 2. The Planning Commission further finds and
determines t aTi Meets do not exist as required by Section 9124 and
9125 et seq. of the Ordinances of the City:of Rosemead justifying
a granting of the Conditional Use Permit.
Section 3. The Planning Commission further finds:
1. The proposed development would not be in the best -
interest of the surrounding area. • . I
2. The proposed development would be a traffic hazard
in the area.
3. The proposed development.would not be in accord with
the City beautification_ movement.
Section 4. Based on. the aforementioned findings the
Commission er_eby�enies a Permit-with respect to that property
described in Section 1 of this resolution.
Section 5. This action shall become final and effective
after ten ays after this decision by the Planning Commission
unless within such time a written appeal is filed with the City
Clerk, for consideration by the Rosemead City Council as provided
in the Zoning Ordinance.
Section 6. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption
of this res tion and shall transmit copies of same to the appli-
cant and the Rosemead City Clerk.
