RESOLUTION NO. 68 -19
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF ROSEMEAD GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE
PERMIT: CASE NUMBER 23.
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: .
Section 1. The Planning Commission does hereby find
and determine' that an application was duly filed by the Garvey
School District, with respect to real property described as
follows:
All of Lots 6 thru 11, Tract No. 6276, M.B. 97 -80,
all of Lots 4 thru 13, Tract No. 7061, M.B. 89- 38/39,
all of Lots 12 thru 16, Tract No.. 6353, M.B. 76 -83
and all of Lots 9 thru 13, Tract No. 5796, M.B. 63.-
87. Also that portion of Newmark Avenue lying ad-
jacent to said described property;
and otherwise described as the area south of Egley
Avenue extending to the north side of Fern Avenue
and including all the properties from 7440 thru
7534 Egley Avenue; from 7441 to 7541 and 7440 thru
7538 Newmark Avenue; and 7439 thru 7537 Fern
Avenue in the City of Rosemead;
requesting 'a Conditional Use Permit, on property in the R -2
(Light Multiple Residential) Zone to permit:
the establishment of a grammer school facility for a
maximum capacity of 600 students, kindergarten thru
sixth grade;
that a public hearing was duly setfor Tuesday, June 18, 1968
at 7:30 P.M. at the City Hall, 8838 Valley Boulevard, Rosemead,
California, and a notice of the time, date, place and purpose of
aforesaid hearing was duly given; that a hearing was duly held
at the aforementioned time and place.
Section 2. The Planning Commission further finds and
determines that cts exist as required by Section 9124 and 9126
et seq. of the Ordinances of the City of Rosemead justifying a
granting of the Conditional Use Permit.
Section 3 . The Planning Commission further finds:
1. That the proposed development would be in basic accord
with the General Plan of the City of Rosemead.
2. That the proposed development would be in the best
interest of the local area and of the City of Rosemead.
3. That the proposed development is required to properly
support the youth of the City of Rosemead.
Section 4. Based on the aforementioned findings the
Commission here y grants a Permit with respect to that property
described in Section 1 of this resolution, subject to the condi-
tions attached hereto.

Section 5. This action shall become final and effective
after ten 0 ays after this decision by the Planning Commission
unless within such time a written appeal is filed with the City
Clerk, for consideration by the Rosemead City Council as provided
in the Zoning Ordinance.
Section 6. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption
of this reso u t on and shall transmit copies of same to the appli-
cant and the Rosemead City Clerk.
