PC - 1968 - 07 - Granting a Zone Variance: Case Number 4CITY OF ROSEMEAD RESOLUTION NO. 68 -7 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD GRANTING A ZONE VARIANCE: CASE NUMBER 54. THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Planning Commission does hereby find and determine that an application was duly filed by Donald L. and Mary Finch, with respect to real property described as follows: Rosemead lot com N. 64 21' W 351.33 ft and N 0 57' 30" W 293.94 ft from most S cor of Lot 9 Blk 2 TH N 0 57' 30" W 48 ft TH S 89 02' 30" W to E line of Muscatel Avenue TH S thereon 48 ft TH N 89 02' 30" E to beg part of Lot 9 Blk 2 (Volume 134 Code Area 8218 Map Book 5389 Page 012 Parcel 035); and otherwise described as 4526 and 4528 North Muscatel Avenue, Rosemead, California; requesting a Zone Variance, on property in the C -1 (Neighborhood Commercial)to permit; the conversion of an existing one car garage for a second bedroom on the rear apartment of an existing duplex and construction of a one car carport to replace the converted one garage space; that a public hearing was duly set for Tuesday, April 30, 1968 at 7:30 P.M. at the City Hall, 8838 Valley Boulevard, Rosemead, Cali- fornia, and a notice of the time, date, place and purpose of afore- said hearing was duly held at the aforementioned time and place. Section 2. The Planning Commission further finds and determines that facts exist as required by Section 9124 and 9126 et. seq. of the Ordinances of the City of Rosemead justifying a . granting of the Zone Variance. Section 3. The Planning Commission further finds: 1. That the proposed development would be in keeping with the proposals of the Land Use Element of the General Plan; 2. That the proposed development would not be detri- mental to the development of the surrounding area. Section 4. Based on the aforementioned findings the Commission hereby grants a variance with respect to that property described in Section 1 of this resolution, subject to the condi- tions attached hereto. This action shall become final and effective after ten (10) days after this decision by the Planning Commission unless within such time a written appeal is filed with the City Clerk, for consideration by the Rosemead City Council as provided in the Zoning Ordinance. Section 6. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall transmit copies of same to the appli- cant and the Rosemead City Clerk.
