RESOLUTION NO. 68 -1
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF ROSEMEAD GRANTING A CONDITIONAL -USE
PERMIT: CASE NUMBER 15.
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FODLOWS:
Section 1. The Planning Commission does hereby find
and determine that an application was duly filed by General Host
Corporation, dba Van de Kamp's Holland Dutch Bakers, with respect
to real property described as follows:
A parcel of real property, measuring 100 feet square,
located in Lot No. 1 in Block 9 of Rosemead, Sheet
No.. 2 in the City of Rosemead, County of Los Angeles,
State of California, as shown in Book 21, pages 114
and 115 of Maps, the office of the County Re-
corder.of said County, described as follows: Begin-
ning `at'a point easterly of the center line of Rose-
mead Boulevard a distance of 102 feet and southerly
of the center line of Marshall Street a distance of
163 feet, thence southerly along a line parallel
to the center line of Rosemead Boulevard a distance
of 100 feet thence easterly along a line at,right
angles to the center line of Rosemead Boulevard a
distance of 100 feet, thence northerly along a line
parallel to the center line of Rosemead Boulevard
a distance of 100 feet, thence westerly a distance
of 100 feet to the point of beginning, subject to
governmental, regulations and matters of record;
requesting a Conditional Use Permit,, on property in the C -3 -d
(Medium Commercial - design overlay) Zone to permit:
The sale and serving of beer with meals at the
Van de Kamp's coffee shop;•
that a public hearing was duly set for Tuesday, January 2, 1968,
at 7:30 P.M. at the City Hall, 3018 North Charlotte Avenue, Rosemead,
California, and a notice of the time, date, place and purpose of
aforesaid hearing was duly given; that a hearing was duly held at
the aforementioned time and place.
Section 2. The Planning Commission further finds and
determines that facts exist as required by Section 9124 and 9126
et seq. of the Ordinances of the City of Rosemead justifying a
granting of the Cond,ltional Use Permit.
Section 3: The Planning Commission further finds:
1. That the proposed use would not detrimentally
affect the surrounding area.
Section 4. Based on the aforementioned findings the
Commission here grants a Permit with respect to that property
descri.bed in Section 1 of this resolution, subject to the Eonditions
attached hereto.

Section 5. This action shall become final and effective
after ten 0 days after this decision by the Planning Commission
unless within such time a written appeal is filed with the City
Clerk, for consideration by the Rosemead City Council as provided
in the Zoning Ordinance.
Section 6. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption
of this reso uTon and shall transmit copies of same to the appli-
cant and theAosemead City. Clerk. - .
