RESOLUTION NO. 2005 -11
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROSEMEAD ORDERING THE SUMMARY VACATION OF THAT
CERTAIN PUBLIC RIGHT -OF -WAY KNOWN RAMONA BOULEVARD
AND MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT
WHEREAS, the City of Rosemead has received a request from Primestor Development,
Inc. to vacate Ramona Boulevard right -of -way adjacent to their property at 8920
Glendon Way, as legally described in attached Exhibits "A and "B" and made a part
hereof; and
WHEREAS, City staff has researched the past and current usage of the subject road
right -of -way and has found that. the Ramona Boulevard right -of -way is excess. right-of
way of a street or highway not required for street or highway purposes; and
WHEREAS, the vacation of the public easement is undertaken pursuant to the
provisions of the California Streets and Highways Code, Commencing with Section
8300 et sec, which authorizes the City to summarily vacate unused and unnecessary
easements and - excess right -of -way; and
WHEREAS, utilities and storm drain facilities lie within the Ramona Boulevard right -of-
way considered for vacation,, it is necessary for the City Council to reserve easements
for public and non - public utilities and incidental purposes thereto, ingress and egress,
future easements and drainage purposes; and
WHEREAS, as required by Section 8334 of the Streets and Highways Code, the City
Council ands that the right of -way identified above is excess right -of -way of a street or
highway not required for street or highway purposes.

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council hereby resolves as follows:
Section 1 : The City Council does hereby elect to proceed in summarily vacating a
portion of Ramona Boulevard right -of -way in the manner as prescribed in Section 8334
of the Streets and Highway Code and that the Ramona Boulevard right -of -way
described in attached Exhibits "A" and "B" is hereby summarily vacated
Section 2 . The City Council hereby reserves easements for public and non - public
utilities and incidental purposes thereto, ingress and egress, future easements and
drainage purposes over the vacated area.
Section 3 : The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute this Resolution on behalf of the
City Council of the City of Rosemead and the City Clerk is authorized to attest thereto.
Section 4 : That the City Clerk is authorized to record a certified copy of this resolution
is with the Los Angeles County Recorder's Office.
Section 5 : That upon recordation, the vacation is complete.
