Subject: Fwd: EENR Sept. Meeting
Dear Gloria,
While I have not put together the official agenda for the upcoming EENR steering committee meeting, I can
share a rough outline and some of the topics that will be discussed.
Thursday afternoon - optional tour of the Florida Everglades. Committee members will hear about threats and
conservation efforts to this natural resource.
Friday - the committee will meet all day. Speakers and discussion topics will include climate change
adaptation and resiliency, impacts on water resources and infrastructure, sea level rise and specific impacts on
the state of Florida.
Saturday - the committee will meet until noon. Committee members will discuss and review changes to the
NLC National Municipal Policy and make recommendations on each of the existing resolutions. Committee
members will also engage in a dialogue with NLC staff on resources and recommendations for the Sustainable
Cities Institute.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional information. I look forward to seeing
Margaret in Florida!
Best,
Carolyn
