A. REVIEW OF TRAFFIC CONDITIONS AT TEMPLE CITY BOULEVARD AND ELLIS LANE
SUMMARY
A request was received for the Traffic Commission to review traffic and safety conditions at the intersection of
Temple City Boulevard and Ellis Lane. The request emphasized that the existing configuration, coupled with limited
sight visibility, creates safety concerns for motorists. These factors sometimes cause difficulties for vehicles turning
from Ellis Lane onto Temple City Boulevard. Further, recent public works projects in neighboring communities have
resulted in detours causing increased traffic volumes on Temple City Boulevard. A review of the intersection and
improvement alternatives are summarized in this report.
Staff Recommendation
It is recommended that the Traffic Commission review the report and provide feedback to staff.
