CITY COUNCIL
MINUTES OF JULY 12, 1972
An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Rosemead was held in joint session with the Rosemead Planning
Commission at 8800 East Garvey Avenue, Rosemead, Ca., and called
to order by Mayor Hunter at 7:30 P.M.
CALL TO ORDER
1. ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmen: Andersen, Hunter, Maude, Pike, Taylor
Absent: Councilmen: None
Ex officio: Chambers, Gunn, Miller
Planning Commission Members: Burris, Dauer, DeTora, Schymos, Wilson
Mayor Hunter stated the purpose of this meeting is to meet in
study session with the Planning Commission with regard to Land
Use Policies. He reminded those present that the Council, as the
elected body of City Officials, is obligated to determine
City Policy.
The following points were discussed:
A. Possible solutions to greater utilization of large and deep
lots--especially in R-1 and R-2 zones.
B. Maximum densities in R-3 and R-4 zones, including parking
requirements.
C. Possibility of a moritorium on R-4 zoning.
D. The "C" conditional or contract zone The "L" limited condition
attachment - and that Staff redraft a "contract" or "limited"
amendment which might be applied to certain zone changes.
It was agreed that another point study session of the Council and
Commission be arranged in about a month.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Mayor Hunter adjourned the meeting.
