CC - 06-02-72 - Adjourned Meeting0 0 CITY OF ROSEMEAD ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA CITY COUNCIL MINUTES OF JUNE 2,1972 An adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of Rosemead was held in the Conference Room of City Hall, 8838 East Valley Boulevard and called to order by Mayor Hunter at 7:37 a.m. 1 CALL TO ORDER Mayor Hunter ordered formalities dispensed with stating the- purpose of this meeting was to consider the proposed budget for 1972-73. 2. ROLL CALL Present: Councilmen: Hunter, Maude, Pike Absent: Councilmen: Andersen, Taylor Ex officio: Andersen, Chambers, Gunn It was noted that Councilman Andersen was absent due to illness in the family. 3. BUDGET STUDY CONTINUED The improvement of Walnut Grove Avenue north of Grand was briefly discussed,and Mr. Gunn was requested to question the City Attorney to determine if this project could be funded with redevelopment monies. The Appropriated Capital Outlay was increased to $200,000 with Mayor Hunter opposing. Mr. Hunter stated he was in favor of the proposed community center but did not feel it was necessary to reserve additional funds at this particular time. Mr. Gunn was requested to submit a time schedule with estimates of land acquisition and cost of construction for the proposed community center. Mayor Hunter adjourned the meeting at 8:15 a.m. CITY CLERK MAYOR
