Engineering
As part of the July 2010 bond issuance by the former Redevelopment Agency, the City
included funding to increase capacity in the sanitary sewer system along Garvey Avenue.
The City's Sewer System Management Plan (SSMP), which was completed in 2009,
identified the sewer along Garvey Avenue as lacking sufficient capacity to accommodate
current and future land uses along this corridor. A Request for Proposal (RFP) was
distributed to seven (7) local engineering firms that have experience in sewer design
services. Three (3) proposals were received and reviewed by City staff
