CC - 06-03-70 - Adjourned Meeting-1 _ CITY OF ROSEMEAD ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA CITY COUNCIL MINUTES OF JUNE 3, 1970 An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Rosemead was held-in the Conference Room of City Hall, 8838 East Valley Boulevard, and called to order by Mayor Taylor at 7:30 o'clock p.m. ROLL CALL Present: Councilmen: Andersen, Hunter, Maude, Pike, Taylor Absent: Councilmen: None Ex officio: Chambers, Gunn, Street BUDGET STUDY CONTINUED Law Enforcement - Account No, 3000 Following consideration, Account ,16 (Community Relations), was deleted, Account .86 (Special Equipment) was increased to $1700; balance of account approved as proposed, Building Regulations - Account No, 3200 This account was approved as proposed, Public Works - Account No, 4000 It was agreed that Account 01 (Vacation Relief) be deleted, Account ,12bkincreased to $7500, and balance of account approved as proposed. It was also moved by Councilman Maude, second by Councilman Andersen, and unanimously carried, that the Chairman of the Traffic Commission, Vice-Chairman, or next member in senority, be permitted to attend the League of California Cities Seminar in San Diego, Sewer Maintenance - Account No, 4800 This account was approved as proposed, Construction _ Streets & Highways - Account No, 5000 This account was approved as proposed. It was moved by Councilman Pike, second by Councilman Maude, and unanimously carried, that the median plantings to be located on Walnut Grove Avenue and Rush Street be designed for minimum maintenance. It was moved by Councilman Hunter, second by Councilman Maude, and unanimously carried, that on all major street improvement: projects, the City install sidewalks on both sides of the street, providing there has been gratis dedication, except where a petition signed by majority of the property owners requesting no sidewalks, has been received by the Council. r Page Two C/C 6/3/70 Maintenance of Streets & Highways - Account No. 6200-6600 There being no objections, Account No. 6614 (Sidewalk Repair) was increased to $2500 and balance of account approved as proposed. It was moved by Councilman Andersen, second by Councilman Pike, and unanimously carried, that the City have under private contract,a continuing program for repair of sidewalks that have become hazardous to pedestrians. Street Lighting - Account No. 6900 This account was approved as proposed. Health Services - Account No. 7000 This account was approved as proposed. There being no objections, the meeting was adjourned to Monday, June 8 at 7:30 a.m. Meeting adjourned at 10:00 o'clock p.m. CITY CLERK
