into Middle Management, Professional, and Confidential Service unit designation and to
amend the salary range for the Public Works Superintendent classification to be
consistent with the local labor market.

On May 27, 2014, the City Council approved and adopted Resolution No. 2014 -12
establishing annual salary ranges and benefits for classifications in the Middle
Management, Professional, and Confidential Service unit designation. Due to the
reorganization of the Public Works Department and the prior inadvertent omission of the
Senior Management Analyst classification, it is necessary that Resolution No. 2014 -12
be amended to incorporate the City Engineer, Public Works Manager and Senior
Management Analyst classifications into the Middle- Management, Professional, and
Confidential Service and to amend the salary range of the Public Works Superintendent
classification to commensurate the local labor market.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds for the annual salary and benefits for the City Engineer, Public Works Manager,
Senior Management Analyst, and the Public Works Superintendent classifications are
included in the City's 2014 -2015 Fiscal Year Budget as a result of the recent resignation
