Students, K -12th grade, are encouraged to submit artwork for the
Healthy Living Art Contest on the following themes: Let's Move and
Act Green. Entry fors are available at Rosemead Library or to
download at www.JoyofKungfu.info. Deadline to submit artwork is
October 25, 2014.
This event is held in partnership with the 27th Congressional
District, 24th Senate District, City of Rosemead, the Rosemead
Chamber of Commerce and abc Arts and brought to you by Fitness
Day and Health Fair and the Rosemead Library.

• This art contest is for youths with artistic creativity to express their visions of health and environmental issues.
• Judges include Senator Dr. Ed Hernandez, City of Rosemead Mayor Bill Alarcon, Rosemead Community Library
Manager Sue Yamamoto, and abc arts.
• The 24' Senate District Award will be presented to the artwork that best describes healthy living in the San
Gabriel Valley.
• Winner works will be displayed in the Rosemead Library from 11/1 — 11/14. Winners will receive a certificate
and souvenir, and all entries will receive a prize on November 16 1:30pm at the Fitness Day and Health Fair.
• All entries must be original student artwork. No trademarks, copyrighted photographs, or computer graphics
and text. Artwork return date from December 1 — 1S, please pick up at library during normal operating
hours after the date the artwork will become the library's property.
• Entry forms are available at Rosemead Library or to download at www.JcyolKungfu.info.
