DISCUSSION OF TRAFFIC CONDITIONS IN THE VICINITY OF JANSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SUMMARY Several comments and concerns have been received by the Traffic Commission and staff regarding traffic conditions in the vicinity of Janson Elementary School. These complaints have occurred occasionally over a period of several years and are mostly related to the volume of traffic in the area, the drop off and pickup procedures at the school, and the resulting traffic impacts. Staff has discussed these issues with concerned residents, motorists, and representatives from the Rosemead School District and Janson Elementary School. At this time, Staff believes it is important to receive public comment and feedback regarding the conditions in this area to be utilized in a comprehensive traffic review Staff Recommendation It is recommended that the Traffic Commission receive public comment and provide feedback and direction to staff regarding the traffic conditions in the vicinity of Janson School.
