ORDINANCE N0. 214
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD MAKING CHANGES
IN ZONING REGULATIONS ANO EXTENDING
ORDINANCE N0, 182 FOR ONE YEAR.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
(A) Ordinance No. 182 of the City of Rosemead entitled
"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD MAKING
CHANGES fN ZONING REGULATIONS AND AMENDING THE ROSEMEAO MUNICIPAL
CODE," is hereby readopted and extended in full force and
effect for a term of one year, expiring ,tune 13, 1968. In order
to provide for such extension, said ordinance is hereby amended
to read:
Section 1. In order to provide for a minimum lot
area of sixx tiTousand (6,000) square feet, Section 9104.6 of
the Rosemead Municipal Code is amended to read:
"9104.6 Lot Area Minimum. Six thousand (6,000) square feet."
Section 2. In order to provide for a minimum tot
area of six t-Fiousand (6,000) square feet, Section 9105.6 of
• the Rosemead Municipal Code is amended to read:
"9105.6 Lot Area Minimum. Six thousand (6,000) square feet
wit not ess t an three thousand (3,000) square feet
per dwelling unit."
Section 3. Section 9121.14 of the Rosemead Municipal
Code is amen-dam to read;
"9121.14 Additional Dwellin Units. Notwithstanding any other
provisions o t is apter, property in the R-1 or A-1
zone having an area of twelve thousand (12,000) square
feet or more and with adequate provisions for ingress
and egress, may be used for the erection, construction,
occupancy, use, alteration or enlargement of one single
family dwelling, together with accessory buildings
• permitted in such zone, for each six thousand (6,000)
square feet of area or more (provided that for each
dwelling not fronting on a street, the lot area shall
be seven thousand (7,000) square feet), on the condition
that a plot plan has first been approved, subject to
any conditions, by the Planning Commission pursuant to
Article IX, Chapter 4 of this Code, and that a Parcel
Map be approved and recorded pursuant to law.
Notwithstanding any other provisions of this Chapter,
property in the R-2 zone having an area more than six
thousand (6,000) square feet and with adequate pro-
visions for ingress and egress, may be used for the
erection, construction, occupancy, use, alteration or
enlargement of one additional family unit, together
with accessory buildings permitted in such zone, for
each three thousand (3,000) square feet of area or
more in excess of six thousand (6,000) square feet,
on the condition that a plot plan has first been
approved, subject to any conditions, by the Planning
Commission pursuant to Article IX, Chapter 4 of this
Code, and that a Parcel Map be approved and recorded
pursuant to law."

(B) The Planning Commission is undertaking studies
looking toward the revision of the zoning regulations as herein
provided, Unless the above provisions are made effective
immediately, during the consideration of amendments to the zoning
regulations developments may commence contrary to the proposed
regulations, and which would be detrimental to the orderly
development of the City. This ordinance is therefore necessary
for the preservation of the public peace, health and welfare,
is a temporary interim ordinance and shall become effective
immediately upon adoption.

1967.
