ORDINANCE Pd O. 221
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD SETTING
141NIMUM AREA REQUIREMENTS FOR DEVELOPMENTS
IN P-D ZONES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS
FOLLOH!S
Section 1. Section 9120.11 of the Rosemead Municipal
Code is amen adding thereto subsection C to read:
C. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this
Chapter no development plan shall be approued by
the Planning Commission or the City Council,
except for single family residence uses under
Section 9120.1, unless such plan encompasses and
provides for the development of a parcel, tract
or area of land not less than three (3) acres in
size.
Section 2. The City Council finds that it is essential
to the pub ~cT- peace, health, safety and welfare that a minimum of
three (3) acres be required fora P-D Zone, in order to prevent
the development of spot zoning, conflicting land uses or uses in
conflict with the general plan or the surrounding land uses. The
Planning Commission and City Council of the City of Rosemead are
• presently considering and studying a proposed general plan for the
City of Rosemead, and the Planning Commission is considering and
intends to study within the next six (6) months, a new zoning
ordinance for the City of Rosemead which will provide for minimum
P-D Zone developments. This ordinance is therefore necessary for
the public safety, health and welfare, and is an interim ordinance,
and shall take effect immediately.
