ORDINANCE NO.288
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD
REGULATING LAND USES IN THE R-3 AND
R-4 RESIDENTIAL ZONES AND EXTENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 258 FOR A PERIOD OF
ONE YEAR.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 9106.1A of the Rosemead Municipal
Code is amend to read:
9106.1 A. Any use permitted by Sections 9104.1E
and 9104.1F.
Section 2. Section 9107.1A of the Rosemead Municipal
Code is amenJeed to read:
9107.1 A. Any use permitted under Sections 9104.1E
and 9104.1F, and any use permitted in the
R-3 zone.
Section 3. The City Council has directed the Planning
• Commission oT__tFeC ty of Rosemead to undertake studies to determine
whether the construction and use of R-1 and R-2 dwelling units
in the R-3 and R-4 zones of the City of Rosemead are compatible
with good zoning and land use development in the R-3 and R-4 zones.
Pending the completion of such studies and in order to prevent the
development of properties in the R-3 and R-4 zones in a manner
which would be imcompatible with and prevent the construction of
well-planned multiple residential dwellings in the R-3 and R-4
zones, it is necessary and desirable that no further R-1 and R-2
dwelling units be constructed in the R-3 and R-4 zones. This
ordinance is therefore declared to be an interim zoning ordinance
necessary for the protection of the health, safety, and welfare
of the City of Rosemead, and shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption. This ordinance shall be effective for a period of
one (1) year from the date of its adoption.
