Ordinance No. 301 - Amending Certain Section of M-1 Zone~S CITY OF ROSEMEAD ORDINANCE NO. 301 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THE M-1 ZONE OF THE ROSEMEAD MUNICIPAL CODE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 9114.3 of Article IX of the Rosemead Municipal oiodeis hereby amended to read as follows: 9114.3 Building Line and Yard Setbacks. A. Front Yard Minimum - No setback required. B. Side and Rear Yard Minimum - No setback required except where side or rear of lot abuts side or rear~'o•f,;residential "R" zone, school or park, in " which case a setback equal to side yard setback of residential YR" zone shall be required for building line of main structure. Setback area may be used • to comply with parking requirements. C. Accessory buildings may be located in required setback area. 9114.4 Landscaping. A. Three (3) percent landscaping of each lot zoned M-1 shall be required. Said landscaped area to be located on lot at discretion of property owner. B. AlI landscaped areas shall be permanently maintained and provided with a permanent irrigation or sprinkler system. 9114.5 Walls and Fences. A. A solid wall or fence, not less than six (6) feet nor more than fifteen (15) feet in height, shall be erected along the property line separating the M-1 zone from any residential "R" zone, school, park, or "C" zone, and that said wall shall not be more than four (4) feet in height where it adjoins the front yard set- back area of any "R" or "C" zone. B. Any outdoor storage of materials, equipment, if visible from a public street shall be completely screened from view with a decorative wall or fence. Said wall or fence shall not be less than six (6) feet nor more than twenty (20) feet in height and all storage of materials and equipment shall be stacked or located below top of wall or fence. C. Said wall or fence shall be kept in good condition and properly maintained. SECTION 2. Section 9114.4 thereof is amended by renumbering section to read: Section 9114.6 Parking Requirements. The parking requirements shall be as provided in Part XXII, Article IX. SECTION 3. Section 9114.7 thereof is included to allow for City Councaoption of Sign and Outdoor Advertising Regulations ordinance to read: Section 9114,7 Si n Outdoor Advertisin Regulations. The sign regulation s Fa e as provided in art AA111, Article IX. SECTION 4. Section 9122.13 thereof is amended by adding to sentence to read: "Where such parking area abuts property classified for R uses, it shall be separated therefrom by a solid masonry wall, six (6) feet in height, provided said wall, from the front property line to a depth equal to the required front yard on the abutting R classified property, shall be forty-two (42) inches in height, except for abutting parking area in zone M-1, said construction and height of wall shall comply with Section 9114.5. "Where such parking area abuts a street, it shall be separated therefrom by an ornamental wall having a height of not less than three (3) feet and maintained at a height of not more than four._(4)-?feet, except, therefrom, property zoned M-1. "Where more than twelve (12) automobile storage spaces exist on a lot or parcel of land, not less than two (2) percent of the gross area devoted to such parking shall be developed to interior landscaping as may be necessary to make such parking compatible with adjoining uses, except for property zoned M-1 which shall provide a total of three (3) percent landscaping of each M-1 lot in compliance with Section 9114.4."
