ORDINANCE NO.331
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD ZONING
CERTAIN PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY CBD AND
DECLARING THE URGENCY THEREOF.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The following described properties are
hereby zoned CBD, as such zoning classification is established
pursuant to Article IX, Part XII of the Rosemead Municipal
Code:
All that real property facing on the north side
of Valley Boulevard from.Ivar Avenue to
Hart Avenue.
All that real property facing on the south side
of Valley Boulevard from Ivar Avenue to
Rosemead Boulevard.
All that real
Bentel Street
• All that real
Steele Street
and from Rosei
property facing on either side of
from Ivar Avenue to Mission Drive.
property facing on either side of
from Muscatel Avenue to Ivar Avenue
mead Boulevard to Hart Street.
All that real property facing on either side of
Nevada Street from Ivar Avenue to Rosemead
Boulevard.
EXCEP.TING.THEREFROM all those properties located
within the foregoing boundaries which are presently
zoned exclusively for residential purposes.
SECTION 2. The City Council and the Planning Commission
of the Cit~ Rosemead are currently studying the application
of the CBD zone to various properties within the City of
• Rosemead. To date the study indicates that all of the real
property described above will probably be placed in the CBD
zone on a permanent basis within the next three to four months.
In order to prevent the establishment of uses not compatible
with the CBD zone pending the completion of the study to deter-
mine the final boundaries of CBD zones within the City, this
ordinance is declared to be necessary to protect the public
safety, health and welfare, and is adopted as an urgency
measure pursuant to Section 65858 of the Government Code of
the State of California and shall take effect immediately.
