MANIS, CITY MANAGER i3v-w\ DATE: MAY 10, 2016 SUBJECT: OUT OF STATE CONFERENCE EXPENDITURE REIMBURSEMENT SUMMARY Rosemead's Municipal Code 2.04.020 states that any councilmember shall be reimbursed for the necessary and actual expenses incurred in the performance of official duties. All expenses must be verified and documented. The City's Travel Policy# 20 -02 states that the following expenses require prior Council approval: "International and out of state travel except to an adjacent state." Mayor Pro Tern Polly Low was invited to participate in an Asian Pacific American (APA) Leaders Roundtable in honor of APA Heritage Month. She received the invitation for this conference after the April 26, 2016 Council meeting. She attended this conference in Washington D.C. on May 2 nd through May 4tn Staff Recommendation Staff recommends that the City Council approve the expenses incurred by Mayor Pro Tern Polly Low at this conference and reimburse her for these expenses.
