A RESOLUTION OF THE ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA CITYCOUNCIL
ESTABLISHING ALL -WAY STOP AT THE INTERSECTION OF
KLINGERMAN STREET AND ANGELUS AVENUE
WHEREAS, installation of all -way STOP will not prevent Klingerman Street and
Angelus Avenue from functioning at its defined hierarchical classification level (local street)
as identified in the General Plan Circulation Element; and
WHEREAS, installation of all -way STOP will not unduly restrict the delivery of
emergency services to the surrounding neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, installation of all -way STOP will not create any potentially hazardous
conflicts between access points or driveways near the intersection; and
WHEREAS, installation of all -way STOP will enhance traffic safety and visibility for
vehicles exiting their driveways near the intersection; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has received public comments and directed the staff to
further review the intersection of Klingerman Street and Angelus Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the installation of all -way STOP is in the best
interest of the motoring public; and
WHEREAS, Section 21100 of the California Vehicle Code authorizes that local
jurisdictions may adopt rules and regulations by resolution for the installation of traffic
controls to enhance traffic safety.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Public Works Department is
directed to erect the necessary stop signs facing northbound traffic on Angelus Avenue
and eastbound on Klingerman Street approaching the subject location with appropriate
markings.
