B. REVIEW OF REQUEST FOR 20 MINUTE PARKING ZONE(GREEN CURB)8424 GARVEY AVENUE
SUMMARY
The Traffic Commission has received a request for the installation of an on-street 20-minute green curb
parking zone in front of the business at 8424 Garvey Avenue. Staff spoke with the business owner at 8424
Garvey Avenue regarding parking at this location. The requesting party is the owner of the business at
8424 Garvey Avenue. The owner believes that the 20-minute green curb parking zone is pertinent for his
business since it is used by his clients stopping by each month to make car payments and/or drive by
shoppers. When vehicles are parked on the adjacent curbs for a long period, it makes it difficult for the
customers coming and going from this business.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff has recommended that the Traffic Commission recommend to the City Council that 30 feet green curb
be installed in front of the business at 8424 Garvey Avenue west of the driveway apron.
