Special Meeting
March 13, 2012
The Special Meeting of the Rosemead Community Development Commission and City Council was called to
order by Mayor Ly at 6:03 p.m. in the Rosemead City Council Chamber located at 8838 East Valley
Boulevard, Rosemead, California.

INVOCATION: Mayor Pro Tem Armenta
PRESENT: Mayor Ly, Mayor Pro Tern Armenta, Council Members Alarcon, Clark, and Low
ABSENT: None
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Allred, City Attorney Richman,Assistant City Manager Hawkesworth, and
City Clerk Molleda
Jim Flournoy—expressed concern regarding the manner that the closed session item was noticed on the
agenda. He stated the city either needed to print on the agenda or announced before closed session which
specific subjects are going to be addressed; such as"a", "b", "c", "d", or"e".
City Attorney Rachel Richman responded that as to this matter there are facts that the city would like to
discuss in closed session and do not want to share that information to the public.
Mr. Flournoy asked if she can clarify which subsection would be discussed in closed session.
Mrs. Richman responded subsection b subsection 3 and subsection a.
Mayor Ly recessed the meeting into closed session at 6:07 p.m.
1. CLOSED SESSION
A. Conference with Legal Counsel—Potential Litigation
Government Code Section 54956.9(b): 1 matter
The City Council reconvened at 6:22 p.m. and there was no reportable action.
City Attorney Rachel Richman stated there was no reportable action taken in closed session and for
clarification purposes, closed session was under 54956.9 subsection b, subsection 3 and subsection a.
2. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 6:22 p.m.
