Permanent Water Waste Prohibitions
•On April 7, 2017, Governor Brown issued Executive Order B-40-
17 lifting the statewide emergency drought declaration and
specific conservation provisions
•Kept in place the temporary monthly water use reporting requirements
and the following prohibitions against wasteful water use practices:
No outdoor watering
During or within 48 hours
after a rain event
No hosing down a
sidewalk instead of using
a broom or brush
Overwatering a landscape
Causing runoff onto sidewalk
and/or gutter

Turf Removal, Residential Landscape & Greywater Classes
•Offered in English, Spanish and Mandarin –next classes: Fall 2017
•Over 240 residents attended workshops during Spring 2017
Large Landscape Survey & Retrofit Program
•Provide free water audits/retrofits for municipal, county and school districts
•113 sites surveyed/retrofitted across district to date
•Rosemead:6 completed sites -surveyed & retrofitted
•Rosemead High School, Garvey Community Center, & Garvey, Rosemead,
Sally Tanner, & Savannah Memorial (phase 1) Parks
