AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD AMENDING
CHAPTER 1 OF ARTICLE IX OF_THE„ROSEMEAD MUNICIPAL
CODE.AND GRANTING AUTHORITY.TO THE ROSEMEAD.CITY_
PLANNING COMMISSION TO REQUIRE REVISION OR_
DISAPPROVE OF.PLOT PLANS_SUBMITTED.UNDER THE
AREA_REQUIREMENTS.APPLICABLE TO.CERTAIN ZONES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. 'Chapter 1 of Article IX of the Rosemead
Municipal ,Code ion 9100 thereof, as,amended, is hereby
further amended by adding a new sub-section a.2) thereto,
following immediately after sub-section (a.1) thereof to read
as follows:
"(a.2) Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions
of subssection (a) of this Section 9100, Section 729
of the Zoning Ordinance of the.County of Los Angeles
hereinabove adopted by reference as the Zoning Ordinance
of the City of'Rosemead, is hereby amended to read as
follows:
• 'Section 729 - PROPER LOCATION.
(a) In the event that the plans show that the
proposed development of the property will
violate any provisions of this Ordinance, will
not maintain the character and integrity of the
district in which such use is intended to be
established, erected, constructed, occupied,
structurally altered or used, will tend to
establish a precedent or pattern contrary to
the contemplated master plan or program of .
planning or the permanent zoning ordinance of
the City of Rosemead now under study by the
Planning.Commission, in such manner as to
interfere with the uniform application and
enforcement of such proposed master plan,
program of planning, or zoning ordinance, or
will be detrimental to the general welfare of
the community, the Planning Commission of the
City of Rosemead may require such revision of
the plans as may be necessary to correct these
conditions or, if it finds that it is not
reasonably practicable to revise such plans in
such manner as to correct these conditions
effectively, may disapprove such plans.
(b) No person shall establish, erect, construct,
occupy, structurally alter or maintain such use
without the prior approval of such plans by the
City Planning Commission and in the.event of
approval being conditioned upon revisions,
without first fully complying with the required
revisions thereof.""
