AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD APPROVING
THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN 10HABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED AS "ANNEXATIOi ,10.31" TO THE CITY
OF ROSEMEAD.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, proceedings were initiated for the annexa-
tion of certain inhabited territory to the City of Rosemead;
and
7HEREAS,_said territory is now and has heretofore
been designated as "Annexation 1o. 31"; and
WHEREAS, on the 13th day of December, 1966; the City
Council of the City of Rosemead did pass and adopt Resolution
No. 66-77 calling a special election to be held on the 21st
day of February ;1967; and
WHEREAS, on the 28th day of February, 1967, at the
hour of 8:00 P.M., the City Council of the City of Rosemead
duly assembled at its usual place of meeting and did canvass
the returns of said election; and
WHEREAS, a majority of the votes cast in said election
were in favor of said annexation;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROSEMEAD does hereby approve the annexation of the City.of
Rosemead of said territory designated as "Annexation No. 31"
and as described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part
hereof and does hereby ordain that said territory be, and it
hereby is, annexed to the City of Rosemead.

(Revised Description)
All that property in the County of Los Angeles, State of
California, bounded and described.:as follows:
Beginning at the most westerly southwesterly corner of
the City of Rosemead, which corner is a point in the easterly
boundary of the City of Monterey Park as both boundaries
existed on March 11, 1966; thence southerly along said east-
erly boundary line to its intersection with the westerly
prolongation of the northerly line of Graves Avenue, 30 feet
wide, as shown on map of Tract No. 1985 recorded in Book 22,
page 159 of Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said
County; thence easterly along said prolongation and northerly
line to the northwesterly prolongation of the southwesterly
line of that certain property described as Parcel 3 in deed
to Los Angeles Orphan Asylum, Inc, recorded April 5, 1951 as
Document No. .1671 in Book 35975, page 118 of Official Records,
in the office of the County Recorder of said County; thence
southeasterly along said northwesterly prolongation to the
most westerly corner of said Parcel 3; thence southeasterly
and easterly along the boundary of said Parcel 3 to the most
• northerly corner of Parcel 1 as described in said deed; thence
southwesterly along the boundary of said Parcel 1 and following
the various courses of said last mentioned boundary to the most
easterly corner of said Parcel 1; thence easterly along the
southerly line of Parcel 2.as described in said deed to the
southwesterly corner of that certain property conveyed to
Evangelical Mission Covenant Association of California by
deed recorded November 28, 1950 as Document No. 512 in Book
34959, page 58 of Official Records,, in the office of the
County Recorder of said County; thence easterly and north-
easterly along the southerly and southeasterly lines of said
last mentioned certain property to the southerly line of that
certain property conveyed to Richard Garvey Senior Post No.
393 of the American Legion Department of California recorded
February 9, 1959 as Document 635 in Book D 3533 page 755 of
Official Records, in the office of the County Recorder of
• said County; thence easterly along said last mentioned south-
erly line to the easterly line of said last mentioned certain
property; thence northerly along said easterly line and its
northerly prolongation to the northerly line of Graves Avenue
as shown on map of Tract No, 11758 recorded in Book 213, pages
23 and 24 of said Maps; thence easterly along said last
mentioned northerly line to its intersection with the westerly
line of Del Mar Avenue (70 feet wide) as shown on said last
mentioned map; thence easterly in a direct line to the inter-
section of the easterly line of said Del Mar Avenue and a line
parallel with and 40 feet northerly, measured at right angles,
from the center line of Graves Avenue as shown on County
Surveyor's Map No. B-2545 on file in the office of the Engineer
of the County of Los Angeles; thence easterly along said parallel
line to its intersection with the boundary of the City of Rosemead
as it existed on March 11, 1966; thence northerly and following
the various courses of said boundary of the City of Rosemead to
the point of beginning.
