Ordinance No. 186 - Term Limits of the Planning CommissionORDINANCE NO. 186 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD RELATING TO THE TERM OF OFFICE OF MEMBERS OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Sections 2500 and 2501 of Chapter 5 of Article of tFe Rosemead Municipal Code are hereby amended to read as follows: "2500. Plannin Commission Creation of. A Planning Commission which may be known and referred to as the "Planning Commission" of the City of Rosemead is hereby established in accordance with the provi- sions of the "Local Planning" law as provided in Article 2 of Chapter 3 of Title 7 of the Government Code of the State of California, as amended to date and as the same may hereafter be amended. 112501. Members. The Planning Commission shall consist of five 5) members, each of whom shall be appointed by the Mayor with the consent of a majority of the members of the City Council and otherwise in accord- ance with the applicable State law. An appointed member of the Planning Commission may be removed at any time by the Mayor, with the approval of the Council, or by a majority vote of the City Council. Each member of the Planning Commission other than the Commissioners first appointed shall have a term of office of two years, from the date of appointment. Should any vacancy exist on the Planning Commission, otherwise than by expiration of term, such vacancy shall be filled by appointment for the unexpired portion of the term. Section 2. On the effective date of this ordinance the City Council shall appoint for the following terms the present members of the Planning Commission: One Commissioner whose term shall expire on the second Tuesday of November 1968. Two Commissioners whose terms shall expire on the second Tuesday of May 1968. One Commissioner whose term shall expire on the second Tuesday of November 1967.
