AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ROSEi,'IEAD
CHANGING THE ADDRESS OF THE COUNCIL
CHAMBERS OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD AND
THE CITY OFFICES AND AMENDING THE
MUNICIPAL CODE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 2700 of the Rosemead Municipal
Code is amended to read as follows:
112700. Council Chambers. The-room designated as
t e ounci am ers located at:
3018 Charlotte Avenue
South San Gabriel Post Office
City of Rosemead
shall be the Council Chambers of the City
Council of the City and all meetings of
the City Council and Commissions shall be
held therein."
Section 2. Section 2701 of the Rosemead Municipal
Code is- ere y amended to read as follows:
• 112701. City Offices. The offices of the agencies,
departments, officers and employees of the
City of Rosemead shall be located and main-
tained at:
301.8 Charlotte Avenue
South San Gabriel Post Office
City of Rosemead"
Section 3. Subsection 11 of Section 2800 'is hereby
amended tas follows:.
"2800. 1. City Hall
3018 Charlotte Avenue
South San.Gabriel Post Office
• Rosemead, California"
Section 4. The City of Rosemead is presently negotiating
for and attempting, to acquire land upon which to construct the
new City Hall and Council Chambers for the City of Rosemead.
The site presently used by the City as the City Hall is to be
demolished and a temporary City Hall site has been prepared and
is located at the above address to accomodate the business of
the City until such time as a permanent structure is completed.
The action taken herein is necessary for the preservation of the
orderly transaction of business within the City of Rosemead and
is necessary for the peace and welfare of the community and is
hereby declared to be an urgency ordinance and shall become
effective immediately to be operative at 12:01 A.M. on the
20th day of June, 1966.
