Ordinance No. 172 - Annexation Area No. 25AORDINANCE NO. 172 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN INHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "ANNEXATION NO. 25A" TO THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, proceedings were initiated for the annexa- tion of certain inhabited territory to the City of Rosemead; and WHEREAS, said territory is now and has heretofore been designated as "Annexation No. 25A"; and WHEREAS, on the 9th day of November, 1965, the City Council of the City of Rosemead did pass and adopt Resolution No. 65-86 calling a special election to be held on the 11th day of January, 1966, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors residing in said territory the question whether or not such territory should be annexed to, incorporated in and made.a part of the City of Rosemead; and WHEREAS, said special election was duly held and con- ducted pursuant to law in said territory on the 11th day of January, 1966; and WHEREAS, on the 18th day of January, 1966, at the hour of 7:00 P.M., the City Council of the City of Rosemead duly assembled at its usual place of meeting and did canvass the returns of said election; and WHEREAS, a majority of the votes cast in said election were in favor of said annexation; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD does hereby approve the annexation to the City of • Rosemead of said territory designated as "Annexation No. 25A" and as described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof and does hereby ordain that said territory be, and it hereby is, annexed to the City of Rosemead. PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this day of January, 1966.
