Ordinance No. 126 - Annexation Area No. 23• CITY OF ROSEMEAD ORDINANCE NO. 126 0 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED "CITY OF ROSEMEAD ANNEXATION AREA NO. 23" TO THE CITY OF RuSEIZAD. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, on the 18th day of October, 1963, the City Council of the City of Rosemead on its own motion initiated proceedings for the annexation of certain uninhabited territory to the City of Rosemead; and WHEREAS, on the 18th day of October, 1963, the Council of the City of Rosemead did pass and adopt Resolution No. 63-61, giving notice of the proposal to annex said unin- habited territory to the City of Rosemead, said territory being therein designated as 'City of Rosemead Annexation Area No. 23," which resolution described the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annealed to said City; and WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 63-61 did contain a notice of the hour, day and place when and where the said I, Council of said City would hear protests made by any person owning real property within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said 'caring burg not less than forty nor more than sixty days from the date of passage of said resolution; and WHEREAS, on the 10th day of December, 1963, at 8:00 o'clock P.M. of said day, at 8815 East Valley Boulevard, City of Rosemead, County of Los Angeles, State of California, said time and place being the day and hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 63-61 for hearing protests to the said annexation, the said Council of said City did hear and pass upon all protests made to said proposed annexation and did find and declare by resolution.that protests to said proposed annexation had not been made by public and private owners of one-half of the value of said territory proposed to be anne--_d; and WHEREAS, said City Council duly elected to pro- ceed with said annexation, and after considering the views and wishes of the property owners concerned, made certain changes in the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed as the City Council found to be proper, which changes did not include any territory outside c': the boundaries esE~scribed in said resolution giving notice of the proposed annexation, and did not diminish the lard area of the territory proposed to be annexed by more than five per cent (Si.); and WHEREAS, said boundaries as so changed are described in Exhibit "A" hereto attached, incorporated herein and made a part hereof by reference; and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Rosemead and is uninhabited territory in the County of Los Angeles, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rosemead does hereby approve the annexation to the City of • 0 Rosemead of said territory described in Exhibit "A" hereto, and does hereby ordain that said territory be and it hereby is, annexed to the City of Rosemead. day PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this,_:7,f of January, 1964.
