APPROVAL OF MINUTES: DECEMBER 8, 1998 -REGULAR MEETING
1. RESOLUTION NO. 99-01- - CLAIMS AND DEMANDS
heco:. A prove Resolution No. 99-01, for payment of Agency
expenditures.
2. RESOLUTION NO. 99-02 - A RESOLUTION OF TILE ROSEMEAD
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS AND
DETERMINATIONS WITH RESPECT TO REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY PAYMENT FOR CONCRETE REPAIRS AT VARIOUS
LOCATIONS (FY 1998-99)
By adopting this resolution, the Agency determines that Agency payment for the
project benefits Project Area No. 1, that there are no other reasonable means of
financing, and that the project will eliminate blighting conditions by providing
improved pedestrian access and drainage along roadways within and adjacent to
the project area, thus enhancing the value of abutting properties.
Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 99-02.
3. APPROVAL OF COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY AND AGENCY FOR CONCRETE REPAIRS AT VARIOUS
LOCATIONS (FY 1998-99)
Agreement between the City and Agency to jointly undertake the planning, design,
and construction of concrete improvements at various locations. The City will be
the lead agency.
Recommendation: Approve the agreement.
4. REPAIR TO GARVEY POOL WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM
A major leak has been discovered coming up through the concrete deck at Garvey
Pool. The pool engineering firm reviewed two options. Retain the old pipes and
conduct the time consuming process of tracing each leak, or, the more feasible
option of replacing all the water lines in the system. In addition a surge pit or
overflow recirculating system is recommended.

Recommendation: The Agency fund the project from its unappropriated reserve
for $250,000, approve the use of Rowley International to do the engineering/bid
documents and authorize staff to solicit bids upon completion of working
drawings.
5. GARVEY PARK CLUBHOUSE/SHERIFF'S SUB-STATION-
CHANGE ORDER NO. 1
The contractor, Oceanstate Development Co., has encountered termite and/or dry
rot related damage in the old building. The contractor has provided a cost
estimate to correct those problems.
Recommendation: Approve Change Order No. 1 in the amount of$5,710.00.
6. RE-ROOFING GARVEY PARK CLUBHOUSE- CHANGE ORDER
N0. 2
Approve re-roofing of the Clubhouse at this time by the general contractor that is
remodeling the Clubhouse and building the Sheriffs Substation.
Recommendation: Approve Change Order No. 2 in the amount of$19,870.00.
